A three-drawer chest, finished in a deep, hand-painted black using a durable mineral paint, giving the piece a soft, velvety matte look with excellent depth and resilience. The curvaceous bow front shape provides a stylish backdrop for the decorative detailing, highlighting the surface design.

A three-drawer chest, finished in a deep, hand-painted black using a durable mineral paint, giving the piece a soft, velvety matte look with excellent depth and resilience. The curvaceous bow front shape provides a stylish backdrop for the decorative detailing, highlighting the surface design.
The drawer fronts are decoupaged with William Morris paper in ‘Gilver’, featuring his signature botanical motifs. The pattern brings a refined contrast against the black ground, with the silver tones adding a subtle texture which highlights the intricate leaves and flowers. Together, the rich black finish and elegant Morris paper design create a timeless piece that feels both classic and contemporary - perfect as a statement storage piece in a bedroom, hallway, or living space.
All of my pieces are carefully selected for quality, condition and potential for stylish re-design. Rigorous preparation –varnish removing, sanding and painting - is fundamental to my design aesthetic.
These particular drawers are made from wood and were probably constructed in the early 1980’s.
