Art Deco style Austinsuite rosewood veneer chest of drawers with original handles.  

The housing is painted in mineral paint and the drawers have been sanded back to the beautiful veneer and protected with Danish oil for a silky finish.  I love this as it was my first ever attempt at removing ancient varnish and recovering the stunning rosewood.

Turnidge of London walnut veneer Deco style cocktail cabinet with hand painted dragons.

This cabinet was in very poor condition when I found it.  I repaired it and carefully sanded back the walnut veneer and retrieved what I could, painting the rest with mineral paint.  Hand painted dragons and Chinese calligraphy complete the inside of the cabinet.  The interior is lined with a reptile print paper

Stag Madrigal tallboy and French style bombe chests in a contemporary Chinoiserie design.

Stag Madrigal is the forerunner of the Stag Minstrel range.   The bombes feature hand painted Irises and Magnolias on a golden ground.  Chinese style handles replace the original handles for a contemporary look and the lovely dragonfly handle on the middle drawer completes the garden theme.

This is a Belgian made solid Mahogany reproduction sideboard made in the late 1970s.  

The sideboard is painted in a Scandinavian / Nordic style featuring traditional Gustavian colours.  Painted in Farrow & Ball Hardwicke White estate eggshell and overlaid with a hand painted harlequin design in white chalk paint by Craig & Rose.

A jewelled Venetian inspired harlequin design.  This was my first hand painted harlequin - a labour of love!

This is a very striking chest of drawers, the original hardware painted with a metallic bronze paint from Craig & Rose to match the paper.  Just love that classic Mid Century Modern shape which still has such a contemporary look.
